I believe that technology should empower people and improve lives. My passion for XR technologies is grounded in this belief, and I seek to bend the arc of technological change toward the promotion of human abilities, rights, and dignity. My goals include making XR accessible and providing opportunities for people to produce content, not just consume it.
My passion for technology took root in my deep experience with storytelling, literature, philosophy, art, publishing, and cultural production. My academic background ranged across philosophical aesthetics, women’s literature, and experimental art and writing. My studies engaged topics such as the ways that stories are encapsulated in and communicated through images, how meaning is made and subverted, and explorations and transgressions of genre that raise questions such as what is a story? what makes a poem a poem?
